Are there any such thing as Soul Mates?
The answer is yes, there is such a thing as soul mates.
What are Soul Mates?
Soul mates are people we meet in this life time that we feel we have know forever, even if we have only just met them. They are people who come into our life to help us learn various things.
What about in a romantic sense?
Soul mates in a romantic sense really do not
exist. The idea is put there by those who really do not understand the concept
of the soul. They like to make an idealistic view of this to create the illusion that there is someone for us to love and that we should go looking for them. This is as I said a romantic notion created in a way to help us but has totally the wrong affect on us as we start to look for 'Mr/Miss Right.' who are perfection personified. This is total nonsense as no one is perfect.
So what exactly is a Soul Mate then?
A Soul mates is a person who we feel a connection with on a
spiritual level. We each have many soul mates in our lives in the shape of
friends, family and yes lovers. Soul mates come into our lives to help us learn
and develop spiritually.
A soul mate is someone who you meet but feel
like you've known that person forever. There is just something about them that
you just know that you know them even if you have only just met them.
So a Soul mate could be in a romantic way as well?
Yes, a soul mate could be an old lover who cheats on
you or dumps you. Why? Because you learn from the experience. There is a general misconception about 'Soul Mates' being a love that lasts forever. A soul mate in a romantic sense lasts for as long as it needs to help us learn and grow as a person and soul.
Even a partner who beats you teaches you a valuable lesson. As harsh as it seems. Ask anyone who has come out of a violent relationship and they will tell you that they found the strength to leave and make a fresh start.
This shows that they have learned to gain strength and independence. Of course it does not feel that way at the time it is happening and when the relationship ends there are feelings of relief to be away from the violence.
I don't understand, why is it that the love is not 'forever' then?
There is a state of confusion that sets in
because of the idealistic thoughts of 'Romance'. When a woman meets a man the idealistic thoughts of romance become set
in their mind and they tell everyone they have met their soul mate. They become so enraptured that at first they do not see their partners faults. Or if they do, they think that they can somehow change this person and make them perfect. Perfection does not exist and no amount of trying could ever change the way another person behaves. The only person who can change that person is themselves.
That is why relationships break down. As soon as that person has given the experience that you have learned and grown from then if there is nothing else that be experienced or learned then they leave our life. It also depends on the agreements that we make before we are born. We decide what lessons we are to going to try and learn and what we are to experience and how. We also decide whether or not we are going to have a life long relationship or not.
So who are my soul mates then?
A Soul mate can be a family member, friends work colleagues and yes a romantic partner. You know them through a feeling that you have known the person for longer than you really have. We each have many soul mates in our lives constantly. A soul mate can even be a family pet.
Ok, well I have not met a life long partner, does this mean I have not met my Soul Mate yet or that I may never meet my life long soul mate?
No, you may have decided to wait until you have sorted lessons out before meeting your life long soul mate. There may be an agreement for you to have a life where you do not have a long life long partner but this too is a lesson. A lesson in learning about not feeling lonely whilst being alone. It is nothing to worry about though as you have many, many, many soul mates around you already.
Appreciate all those around you as they are your true soul mates. Sex and
Romance are just life lessons we agree to learn about and experience. Love, true love can only
be found within our own soul. Once we love ourselves we can find true happiness.
So those who have not met a soul that is to be a romantic
partner ask yourself, does it really matter when you already have many soul
mates. The answer is no it does not.
No one is ever destined to live alone. The lack of romantic partners is
to help you accept being alone and not feeling lonely. (one of the major
lessons we learn)
There are romantic partners out there for everyone. Whether they are lifelong
partners or just lesson learners is down to the agreement our soul makes before
coming here.
What you should always remember is life is like a huge classroom. We have lessons to learn about. Some are pleasant and some are not. No matter what lesson we are in, we have our soul mates around us. If you feel uncomfortable thinking a friend of the same sex as you as a soul mate then you can call them soul sisters and soul brothers.
